Please Take Me Home

I really like how this one turned out, I was thinking of the rhyme "How much is that Doggie in the Window" when I saw this stamp and thought I would try to create a store front. With some coordinating card and dog bone ribbon I managed to create a store window. The dogs spots, nose and ear are glazed as is the basket of flowers. The sentiment reads "FRIENDS FOR LIFE". This one and the one below will be on my auctions in the next couple of weeks. I will be unable to post for the next couple of weeks, so watch out for these great cards coming soon!!

Summer Days

Great paper pieced card. Used DCWV kids paper stacks for multiple layers. Made corner tags out of coordinating paper. Glazed girls hat and added beads, flowers, brads, stickles and foam hearts for embellishments. Added little ladybugs to inside and hand drew their antennas.

Come Fly With Me

Pretty pastels colors, pink satin ribbon and a shiny dragonfly complete this beautiful card. Lots of little glass beads, stickles, glossy accents and pop dots used. Coordinating gift tag and handmade envelope to match. 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. These will go on auction as well as the one below, later in the week , so watch my auctions for them. Have a great evening. Precious Moments Friendship

Found these beautiful sets of Precious Moments Stamps from Stampendous. Here is the first, reads "Friendship Hits the Spot" . Hand colored the images and popped them. Great coordinating cardstock from DCWV and Bazzill. Different stitches include a real pretty scalloped edge on the front. Matching gift tag and coordinating envelope included. Card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Tropical Paradise

Great card with matching Gift Tag. Found this one whilst digging around. Great colors using Prismacolors and their blender pen. Used Gamsol for the background, love using this it is so much fun. New papers from the DCWV range, thinks its the glitter one. Prima flowers galore, ribbon and brads. This one has lots of layers, 7 to be exact. Gift card has coordinating paper, hand stitched and reads "my friend".

House Mouse - Have a MICE Halloween

Thought I would make an early Halloween card. Couldn't wait to use these new House Mouse stamps, I just want to do them all. Little mouse looks so cute in his little pumpkin. Found some great candy corn paper and used that as a partial background. Cuttle bug dots embossing background was used on the black. Hand colored mouse with Prismacolor pencils and inked the edges. All as always hand stitched. Stamped sentiment reads "Have a MICE Halloween. Too cute!!

Changito Monkey - Thanks a Bunch

Got a bunch of new stamps today, I just love this little guy, he is so cute and mischievous looking. Used the new DCWV glitter stack for the background squares. Hand colored safari monkey and popped him out. Added really pretty yellow & blue dotted ribbon and also some glass beads. Added some argyle patterned paper to the inside of the envelope. Just adorable.

Out of my Window

OK, Here I am happily sewing away at my desk and I got the sensation something was watching me. I looked up out my window and this is what I saw!!








Everyone knows that I am terrified of snakes, so I am screaming to my husband. He then proceeds to tell me that it is not poisonous, like that makes everything OK? Anyway hope the pics don't give you nightmares, but if I get a shock then everyone else has to as well.

Embrace difference

Not sure what make the stamp is, but I found some great papers to go with it, makes me want to reach for a glass of wine. Heat embossed the stamp and colored with Prismacolor markers, then added glaze to the grapes. Lots of hand embossing on the layers and the sentiment "Embrace Difference" was also heat embossed.

Inkadinkado "Orange Blossom"

Found this stamp and wasn't quite sure what I would do with it. Used a range of bright orange Bazzill card and hand embossed background. Heat embossed with flourishes stamps using distressed embossing powders. Total of 5 layers in this one, looks great, bright and cheerful

Precious Moments - Little Boy

I just adore these precious moments stamps. My daughter used to collect the dolls and has quite a collection. Anyway she saw this and I think I will have to make one for her. DCWV butterflies mat stack was used. I stitched the background using a kite and swirl design. Glittered embossed and embellishments. Lovely pastel colors. What do you think? Cute or what.

Penny Black - Bubbly Dog Moving Head

Found out how to make things rotate within cards. This is so fun. The dogs little head move in a complete circle and stays where you want it to. He looks so cute it's so funny. Anyway used the new pet card from DCWV. More new stitches added. The border stitch reminds me of a blanket for a dog. Hand colored dog which is from the Penny Black range of acrylic stamps.

Sending You My Love

Another shaker card, These are so much fun to make. I found some great little hearts to put in the shaker card. Used Penny Black Bubbly. Water colored and pencil colored with Prismacolors. Popped hedgehog. Used my heart stitch again, it is so pretty round the border. Added some ribbon with little dangling discs. Ran some pearls around the center disc. Then finished with some rhinestone flowers and sequins. What a fun card.

True Love Collage

This one has so much detail, Started with coordinating papers. Made blocks to layer with and hand stitched them all using a really pretty heart stitch. Added what I call a frame hanger (let me know if it is something different. Heat embossed the hearts. Added embellishments. Hand stitched the inside and added some punched hearts. Great one for a frame.

Hoppy Day

Bright card using new DCWV glitter card. Lots of layers using the square spellbinders. Hand stamped frog and made 3D. Hand colored and added some stickles. Buttons, ric rac ribbon and flowers finished it off.

Cocktails Anyone

This is such a fun card, so bright and cheerful, just looking at it makes me smile. I love the little chickens, which I hand stamped, colored and glittered. New stitches used on card. Embossed with Cuttle Bug and added embellishments. OK gotta go and embroider something!!

Peek a Boo Jungle Monkey (Chantigo)

OK, time to confess, I changed out the machine I got the other day for a different kind. Have been going mad embroidering anything I can get my hands on!! Will maybe try to embroider some cards soon. Anyway another Chantigo monkey, great coordinating paper on this one, gives it a real jungle safari feel. Big 3D pop out and really great different stitching. Buttons, ribbons and scallops galore.

Pretty in Pink

New inkadinkado stamps. Very pink, and some reds. Hand stitched layers. Looped some ribbon through what I think is a picture hanger. Stamped some hearts and heat embossed with holographic embossing powder. Oh my there is glitter everywhere!! and I don't just mean on the card. Did the same with the dress. Anyway the results are great, they really shine and glow under the light, my pics don't show it well though. I also inked and water colored the background that the dress is on. Made two more hearts for the inside. Let me know what you think?

Butterfly Blues

Great card which I think would look great framed. Stamped butterflies on printed paper and glazed them. Added some eyelets and made a little bouquet out of pearls and tied with spotted ribbon. DCWV card and Bazzill used for backgrounds. Made coordinating envelope and hand stamped and glittered the pretty swirls.

Spoil Yourself Silly

OK, finally got a new sewing machine yesterday, just fabulous compared to my old worn out machine. Makes my old one look like an antique, anyway once I figured out how to sew with it!! I came up with this. Great bright colors and stamped using Penny Black, I like the little cat that peeks out from the inside of the card. Hope you do too. Spot the Dog

Fun, fun and fun. I wasn't sure what to do with this one to start with. Used DCWV card as the background. Drew out a bone in Illustrator and cut out it on Bazzill. Wound some cream ribbon around the middle of the bone and hand stitched. Stamped the dogs (SIX times), stamp by Inkadinkado, and colored with Acid Free high quality pens. Cut out their heads and popped them on their bodies, then glazed the heads. Drew a fence for the two to peak out over and then added some ribbons and a small glittered bone. Stamped the inside with bones and dog again. Made matching envelope with bone liner and dog stamped on front. I just love this, it looks so cute.
