3 column template

I said the other day that I had managed to transform my blog into 3 columns. I really like it and it gives much more space. Here is where I found out how to do it:

3 Column Template

It really wasn't so hard to do, just remember to save your existing template first!! Then it is just a case of following these instructions. Once you are done, go back to The Cutest Blog on The Block and pick out a 3 column background design and you are all set!!

YOU ARE LOVED - Magnolia Tilda, & A SPRING DAY

Gosh it has been a beautiful day here today, 80 degrees to be exact (sorry folks if you are still experiencing colder weather!!), I really hope it continues for a little longer.

Anyway today I dug out this really cute image of Magnolia baking her little cupcakes. I colored her part with copics and part with prisma. I don't have the right color of copics for her face yet, the ones I tried made her look to orange so I decided to go with the prismas. The only thing is the photo makes her face look partially colored but I think it is just the way the light is shining on the texture of the paper.

The next card was made using my vintage decoupaged images. I got to use my new flowersoft on here too, This stuff is just great and it look so pretty and real. Mind you a little goes a long way. I used it on some of the flowers in the picture and on her swing. What do you think??

Anyway that's what I have been up to today, thanks for stopping by

WONDERLAND CARD AND CANDLE SET - The Greeting Farm

Well, I managed to get this set finished. I just think these stamps are soooo cute from The Greeting Farm. For the card I chalked all the background in. Then I masked the different stamps to create the scene. It is really colorful. As always lots of stitching and I have stamped the toadstools also on the inside.
I have always wanted to try stamping on candles and I have to say I just love it. I think I will go around for the next few days stamping every candle I own!!!!
Well thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow

FINALLY HAVE A 3 COLUMN BLOG!!

I finally did and mastered the technical points of getting a 3 column layout. Boy was I tired this morning, I sat up for ever last night, determined that I wasn't going to bed until I had it done. Well it worked, thank goodness and now I have much more space!!

Anyway today's card is a darling Easter card. The image is just adorable with the little bunny and his basket of kittens. As always he has been decoupaged and dotted with sparkles of glitter. I have also added some really pretty stitching to both in and outsides. I hope you enjoy it.
I am working on a little set at the moment and hope to have it listed either this evening or tomorrow. All I will say is that it is something I have wanted to try for a while!! So keep a look out to see what it is?????

I WANNA PLAY DRESS UP - Vintage style 3D card

Thank goodness Auctiva is up and running again. You don't realize how much you get used to something until its not there!!

I made this card today after browsing through my images, isn't the little girl just adorable playing dress up!! OOOOOOh it brings back memories of going through my mothers closet and playing with her clothes and shoes. Fun times!!
My mom lives in Scotland and it is Mothers Day there on March 22nd, so I will be making a card to send to her. I am lucky this year, she will be able to have two Mothers Days as she will be visiting me in May when it is Mothers Day here also. You only get one mom so spoil them as much as you can!!

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY MY LITTLE LEPRECHAUN BUG!!!. Isn't he cute, this is a stamp from Alota Rubbers Stamps and I think he is just darling!!

PATRIOTIC ST PATRICKS DAY CARD

This card has many techniques, the most time consuming was the clover around the center, I made these by tea bag folding, I hope you like the effect. The stamp again was from Alota Rubbers stamps. I decided that since this picture was a patriotic St Patricks Day scene, that I would not only use the traditional greens but also add red, white and blue.

Inside verse which I designed on my graphics program

I have made this image like a watermark, so that you can write your message over the top!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE GIRL & KITTENS

Isn't she just the cutest out there picking apples with her adorable basket of kittens.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY & GET BETTER PUPPY

TGIF everyone, yay it's the weekend. Of course if your anything like me that means doing yard work if the weather is good!! Oh well I hope it is, I am so tired of the cold and wet, sooooooo ready for some hot weather.
Made a couple of cards today the first being:

GET BETTER PUPPY

I tried a new technique with some ribbon today, you must let me know what you think. I am going to call it the Nestie Rosette!!, I have not seen this done before but if someone else has done I apologize in advance!!! This one is loaded with stitched and I also made a little pocket in the inside of the card to hold a gift card, note etc.

My second card today is a delightful shaker card using the adorable Penny Black Hedgies, which I have entered into the PBSC:

YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY

Well, thanks as always for stopping by, have a great weekend and see y'all on Monday.

Savor the Moment - American Indian All Occassion card

When I saw the image, i just thought it was beautiful. The colors are so vibrant that I just couldn't stop staring at it. The only problem I had was what to do with it!! Well I found a dream catcher ornament and decided to utilize that. I pulled it all apart and was left with pretty suede fabric, feather and beads. That was fine but then I realized I didn't have any Indian looking papers, so not to be outdone, I went onto Illustrator and made my own. I have used the papers both on the front and inside of the cards. To finish off I added the little copper plate with sentiment at the bottom.

This card would be great for any occasion or I think would look perfect in a frame. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!!

Birthday Boy Cowboy card with Gift Card Holder

Cute little boys birthday card. Isn't he a little darling all dressed up for his rodeo. I have added a little pocket inside the card, so that a gift card can be inserted. Not too much flowers or ribbon on this one, (little boys don't like that stuff!!) instead I have put a couple of brad stars and a little bronze plate at the bottom which says birthday.

St Patricks Day Greetings

Managed to make a couple of cards today. The first is this adorable image of a little girl and her dog, which I though would be perfect for a St Patricks Day card. I also found a stamp with a perfect verse which reads:
"If you''re lucky
enough to be
Irish you're
lucky enough!

Tutorial on Ribbon Closure Envelopes

Start with envelope template. Sew and secure edges with tape if you like to sew your edges

Fold you top and bottom edges and mark where you want to place you eyelets
Make larger holes (I use exacto knife)
Inset eyelets into holes (make sure the good side is facing out!!)
Use your setter tool and hammer the eyelets down
Cut two equal pieces of ribbon
Insert ribbon from the front through the eyelet and secure with some tape
Cut your envelope liner and glue into place on the top flat, covering your stitching and ribbon, Repeat process for the other side.
Inside of finished envelope
Finished!!
I hope this tutorial was helpful, please leave a comment to let me know. Thanks for stopping by
