GUEST DESIGNER CHALLENGE FOR CLEAR DOLLAR STAMPS

Thought I would share with you today my entry for the Guest Designer Challenge over at Clear Dollar Stamps. I just adore this little mouse, he is soooooo cute. He is one of Shawne's cute designs and if you want to snag him for yourself you can get him here. Anyway I digress, the challenge was to use designer paper, brads and ribbon. I colored the little mouse with Copics and then paper toled the cake and gifts an additional twice to give it really good dimension. For the cake and gifts I went over them with a versamark pen and heat embossed them with UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), they shine way more than the pic shows!! The papers were from DCWV's Whimsy Stack, added ribbon to the top and bottom of the card, a handmade bow at the top and at each corner I added four brad and covered them with baby blue stickles.

Nostalgic Girl & Dog

I tried a new technique today. It is called Pyramage (basically layering the same image in different sizes on top of each other). I thought it created a rather pleasing front. I also glazed all the images although it is rather hard to see in the picture but they are really shiny!!

SMILE TILDA SPRINGERZ CARD - SIMON SAYS STAMP CHALLENGE - DT CARD

Another springer card, this time I have used Magnolia tilda which you can purchase from Simon Says stamp. Card is the 2nd card for this months DT at Simon Says Stamp blog. I have used the Simon Says Stamp Mod Background stamps for the two adjacent corners, they have been heat embossed and colored with COPICs, then glittered with stickles. Tilda has also been colored with COPICs and parts of her have been glazed with Diamond Glaze. Check out the video to see the card in action!! This card is also entered into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week!!

ALOHA HAWAIIAN MAGNOLIA TILDA - SIMON SAY STAMP & FRIDAY SKETCHERS # 52

Wow, look at the title, I combined a lot into this card. This is my first card using my latest DT stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. You can purchase them by clicking here. Using the flower/grid stamp from this set, I stamped them 4 times of white card, I then heat embossed them, colored with COPICs and finished them off with versamark, UTEE & my heat gun. I then cut two of them out, two of them with my circular Nesties and the other two into quarters to make photo corners. My other stamp used is Magnolia's Hawaiian Tilda also available from Simon Says Stamp. She has been colored in COPICs and parts of her I glossed with Crystal Effects. I also made a little glossy tag with reads"Aloha' and finished it off with some pretty little beads. Other embellishments include Fabric brads and Prima Flowers. The sketch used was for this weeks Friday Sketchers #52.

FOLLOW YOUR DREAM - ELZYBELLS

A friend of mine gave me this stamp and I just fell in love with it. It is from a company called Elzybells and they have the most adorable stamps. I colored the teddy with Copics and then popped him and the balloon separately. For the balloon I used a versamarker pen and UTEE to glaze it with my heat gun. The papers are from DCWV's Whimsy collection and the brads are from K & Co. Hope you enjoy it and have a great evening.

I'M OVER THE MOON - Cuddly Buddly

No matter how many times I use these little bears from Cuddly Buddly, they always make me smile!! Their images are just soooooo adorable.

I watercolored and penciled this little guy and his buddies. Then decided that all space suits are shiny, so I used versamark and UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Powder) with my heat gun to give the high shine. I also dotted some stickles among the leaves, flowers and bee.

For the border of the card I created a double sided square and then cut diagonals from the center to create a smaller square. I pulled back the flaps and glued the image to the center of the card and place the open window on top and pulled the flaps to the back of the card and secure with flower brads.

I hope you enjoy and remember I have lots of goodies going on right now.

So many of you have asked for a DT for my digital stamps site, so here we go……

Digital Downloads by Louby Loo is my newest venture in the ever increasing line of Digital Stamps. I am looking for 8 wonderfully talented & creative designers to showcase their varied techniques using my digi’s.

Requirements

- The term will be for July / Aug / Sept 2009
- Call is open until [B]June 15th 2009[/B]
- Must have your own blog
- Online galleries such as Splitcoast etc will be considered a bonus
- You will provide 2 stamped images a month (more is always welcomed)
- My Digis must be the main focus of your creations

SPRINGERZ CARDS

When I was a little girl I remember getting an adorable card with an elephant on it, the elephants head was held in place with a spring and when you touched it, it would wobble around. I have been searching for fine spring for sometime now to try to duplicate this idea and finally found what I was looking for. I hope you get the general idea by watching my video (sorry it's a bit slow!!). I hope you had a fun Monday and would love you to leave me a comment on this card. 6" Diagonal Double Pocket Card

I was faced with a challenge to use a new technique so I found this tutorial over at Splitcoast, the only thing was the tuorial was for a card that was using card 8 1/2 by 11. I wanted to use 12 x 12!! So after quite a few calculations I came up with this 6 x 6 version!!

I used the WoJ Charlie stamp on the front and made him look like he was hanging out of a window. The I added the black bow with my sentiment on the center. Added two tags one plain and one with a sentiment (I think it would be a great card for Fathers Day and add a photo of your husband/father to the blank tag!!) Also added a sentiment to the inside.

I have taken pics of the steps and will post a tutorial when I can get a chance on how to make the 6 x 6 version. Let me know what y'all think!! and remember to sign up for my celebration candy!!

I am back in the swing again after having a wonderful 3 week break with my mom who came all the way from Scotland to be with me.

Perfect birthday card that any boy (of any age!!) is sure too love. Decoupaged image has been glittered with stickles. Blue Argyl patterned ribbon sits at each corner and is topped with double buttons. Inside of card has a pocket to hold a gift card. Coordinating box envelope!!

Happy Birthday Little Bunny!! Card colors are turquoise and red which I though gave it a really vintage look, I also added a couple of silver/pearl buttons at either side and a red bows at the top & bottom. Inside is hand stamped "Happy Birthday" Hope you enjoy him.

TRI-FOLD ROSE THE SWEETEST FLOWER

If you remember a few weeks ago I made a tri fold daffodil card, Well here is the 2nd in the series of my flower cards, The Rose. Images have been decoupaged to create dimension and the rose has been glittered to make it really stand out. Other embellishments include flatback pearls, crystals and ribbon. LION KING ALL OCCASSION CARD

Another Monday again passes us by!! Here is a card made with another vintage image. I love the little crown that the lion is wearing. Images are 3 dimensional with stickles added to various parts.
