PATRIOTIC PRIVATE PETER

Thought I would share with you today the card I made using Private Peter from the new digi release. I have colored him with Copics and then popped him for dimension. I added some gold stickles to his buttons and hat too! The rest of the card has been stitched and added star buttons to give a patriotic feel. Hope you enjoy!!

EXCITING NEWS - NEW SKETCH CHALLENGE

Just wanted to share the exciting news with you. Digital Delights has now a new Sketch Challenge blog called DELIGHTFUL SKETCHES!! For now it is a bi-weekly sketch but guess what!! there will be two drawings within the two week period. The first week entries will be drawn to win some fabby prizes and then the second week which also includes everyone from the first week (even if you win) will win more prizes and the DT will choose which card they think is the Best of the Best out of the two weeks of entries !! That winner gets a chance to shine on the Digital Delights website with their very own SPOTLIGHT GUEST DESIGNER spot and a special badge to take with them to display on their own blog!! Cute card using vintage look papers and image. I also used the technique pyramage to layer the image and then popped the toadstool and cat on top of it!! Inside has a sentimental verse!! Lots of subtle glitz throughout the card too and it comes with a matching box envelope which has the same image as the card on the back.

The New Bi-weekly Delightful Sketches challenge which will take place every other Thursday with the exception of this first one which is on a Wed!! THE SKETCH CHALLENGES HOME WILL BE AT DELIGHTFUL SKETCHES AND NOT ON DIGITAL DELIGHTS BLOG
Sketch challenge #1 will be open until July 1st @ midnight and USING DIGI’S IS NOT A REQUIRMENT, YOU CAN USE WHATEVER YOU WISH!!
THE PRIZE FOR THIS WILL BE TWO PRIZES OF 3 IMAGES OF YOUR CHOICE FROM THE DIGI STORE!! Here’s how this will work, all entries from the first week will be randomly drawn for the first prize. At the end of the second week the DT will vote on all entries (even if you won a prize) and will give a prize to the best entry!! It doesn’t stop there!! At the end of every two challenges (4 weeks) the DT will choose from the two best entries and that winner will be given their very own SPOT as GUEST DESIGNER for one day on Digital Delights and take with them their own Guest Designer Spotlight Badge for their blog!!

LAST DAY OF SNEAK PEAKS!!

I didn't have time to make any cards today!! Had my yearly physical at the docs, you know the usual prodding and stuff that us women love to get!! Then rushed home to make final preparations for our New Release over at Digital Delights tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Monkeys - 4 Challenges - Cupcake Craft, Everybody Art, Charisma Cardz & Creative Inspirations

Once again I have combined this card using 3 challenges.

1. Sketch layout from Cupcake Craft Challenge

2. Everybody Art Challenge - Birthday theme

3. Charisma Cardz - Diamondy & Sparkly!!

4. Creative Inspirations - Paper Piecing.

First off I started with the sketch and used a stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller, I paper pieced the balloons. Then I added the birthday sentiment. The whole card is dotted throughout without stickles for accents and crystal flowers for the bling!!

Wowee, its Friday again, where did the week go!! Managed to squeeze in this cute birthday card today. Card is made using this adorable vintage image which I have popped to create dimension. Lots of stitched layers. Embellishments include red dotted ribbon, star buttons and lots of stickles. Inside has a little pocket to hold a gift card or memento.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TURTLE AND BUNNY

Another vintage image with lots of sparkle and pizazz. Isn't the image the cutest!! I have as always paper toled it for dimension. I had these cute little crystal turtles too and wanted to add them so I made a string of beads down each side and suspended the turtle from them. The inside also has the same image and has a wee pocket to add a gift card or memento.

FLOWER BLOOM - SIMON SAYS STAMP CHALLENGE AND NEXT LEVEL CHALLENGE AND ONE STOP CRAFT CHALLENGE

I managed to combine two challenges for this card. Simon Says Stamp challenge was to use Pinks and Browns. I also used one of my DT sets from Simon Says Stamp called Oh Happy Day, they are very cute too! The other challenge was from The Next Level and the provided the great sketch for this card. Also entered into One stop craft challenge where you had to use some sparkle

BE HAPPY VICTORIAN LAYERED CAT

You may have been wondering where I have been!! I had a wonderful weeks vacation with my DH, so here I am all refreshed and ready to go again.

I made this one using the pyramage technique (duplicating your pic and make each layer smaller than the previous one). I have covered the image in gloss, although sorry you cant really see it on the pic. Lots of fancy stitches , buttons and ribbons complete the front.

Chef Luigi Fathers Day card - Charisma Cardz Challenge

Made this card using Chef Luigi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I tried to create an Italian Restaurant store front. The scalloped awning sits out from the rest of the card. The doorway and sides were created using colored chipboard. Chef Luigi has been popped for dimension and I colored him in Copics. I also added the sentiment which was computer generated "Happy Fathers Day". On the inside I made the sentiment look like a chalkboard menu. I have also entered into the Charisma Cardz Challenge which was to use something yummy!!

Hi there from Flowerpot Rosie - Digital Tuesday Challenge # 9

Thought I'd join the sketch for Digital Tuesday Challenge site this week. I used their sketch and then added Flower Pot Rosie Raccoon from my digi stamp range (available from Digital Delights by Louby Loo). I colored Rosie with Prismacolors and then used some UTEE to give her a thick gloss, I also added some stickles to the flowers and finished the card off with some fabric roses and some pretty brads from K & Co.

GRADUATON PROFESSOR HOOTY

Following on from yesterdays post I thought I'd share with you my graduation card using Professor Hooty. A friend gave me this paper pad that had some super cool papers in it. When browsing through I found the perfect ones to make this card. The lined paper for the inside was just perfect, also some paper printed with compositions and grammar also matched the theme. Professor Hooty has been paper toled to make him pop and I also colored him with Copics.
